Contact: David Martin

State Rep. David Martin, of Davison, has been appointed to the House Natural Resources and Outdoor Recreation Committee by Speaker Jason Wentworth.

The committee receives policy issues related to the use and management of Michigan’s natural resources and environmental stewardship. This includes, but is not limited to, hunting and fishing, wetlands, trails, recycling, hazardous waste, forest management, dredging, air quality and water.

“I have a deep appreciation for our state’s rich natural resources and hold a love for hunting that has been passed down in my family for generations,” Martin said. “I know many in our area share these same values, and I’m looking forward to representing our community’s interests as I consider policy changes in these areas.”

Martin is serving his first term representing people in the communities of Clio, Davison, Montrose and Otisville, as well as the townships of Davison, Forest, Genesee, Montrose, Richfield, Thetford and Vienna. He also serves as vice chair of the House Workforce, Trades and Talent Committee, and as a member of the House committees on Energy, Commerce and Tourism, and Military, Veterans and Homeland Security.
